To help individuals achieve a college education, the Law Offices of Lawrence Goodwin is proud to hold an essay scholarship contest. The winner of the contest will receive a one-time $500 scholarship.

Educating Our Future

A post secondary education helps groom individuals for future roles as leaders, mentors, and productive citizens of the nation. As a result, the Law Offices of Lawrence Goodwin has established a scholarship fund that will help students accomplish their dreams of a college education. The scholarship funds will be made available to students on an annual basis.

This scholarship award is open to students pursuing a college education in any field, including STEM programs, humanities degrees, etc. The Law Offices of Lawrence Goodwin recognizes how each field of study produces individuals with unique skills that can benefit society in different ways. Keeping the scholarship open for all areas of study helps reinforce that idea.

This scholarship fund is designed to help alleviate the financial burden that students often assume when pursuing higher education. By helping to make post secondary education a little more affordable, the Law Offices of Lawrence Goodwin hopes that more youth will be able to achieve their career dreams.

How To Enter

To enter, you must write a 2,000 word essay on the​ role family law plays in today’s society. In addition to your essay submission, you must include a personal bio, your full name, email address, mailing address, college name, year to graduate, and phone number. Please limit your personal bio to 150 words or fewer. Your essay and accompanying submission information must be sent to scholarship@okcdivorcelaw.com no later than March 15th 2016 by 12:00 midnight Central Standard Time (CST).

Deadlines/Rules

The deadline for an essay submission is March 15th 2016. All submissions from qualified entrants will be reviewed and evaluated. The winner will be selected by March 30th 2016 and contacted via email and phone. The scholarship funds must be used for tuition or books. The company’s scholarship committee will make the selection. There must be a minimum of three qualified applicant submissions in order for a scholarship to be awarded. Scholarship checks that are not cashed will not be reissued; the unused money will be returned to the scholarship fund.
